Over Christmas break, my husband and I traveled back to Mississippi with my side of the family. Before our plane took off, I went to the bookstore to look for a good read. We didn’t have much time, so I made an impulsive choice and picked a book according to how interesting the cover looked instead of actually figuring out what each one was about. That’s usually a really bad way to go about it, but it turned out really well for me. The book I’ve been reading is titled “Furiously Happy.” I’ve read a chapter here and there every now and then and it always brings a huge smile to my face.
Within this book, Jenny talks a lot about her life story. She struggles with many anxiety disorders and clinical depression. I know, it doesn’t sound like that fun of a book … but it is. She takes such an interesting perspective on mental disorders and turns it into a “furiously happy” thing. It’s beyond educational and pretty dang refreshing. She’s by far one of the most hilarious human beings I’ve ever had the privilege to listen to, and I recommend her as an author.
